Mike is a problem solver, integrator and cross-disciplinary thinker. Trained as a chemical engineer with a focus on air quality, wastewater management and remediation, Mike brings a strong technical expertise to Stratos.

“I’m proud of the work I do, waking up every day and feeling like I’m having a positive impact for our clients and the world is what drives me” he says.

Mike provides clients with a range of services, including: risk management, sustainability reporting, research and analysis and sustainability program design and implementation.

He has supported a risk management program for a portfolio of abandoned mine sites in Canada’s north including the Faro and Giant mines.

As a technical consultant at Stratos, Mike has also supported the facilitation of meetings and studies to inform policy, protocols and management approaches on climate change risks in contaminated sites as well as emerging technologies including artificial intelligence and quantum computing.

Mike believes that fostering meaningful relationships and working collaboratively is the key to realizing our potential and solving our world’s toughest problems.

What Mike offers:

Trained as a chemical and environmental engineer, Mike brings a technical understanding and advanced analytical skills to his projects, particularly those combining policy, management and technical content.

His technical background allows him to listen to and “translate” perspectives from multiple disciplines to understand and solve complex problems.

His clients include: Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada, Giant Mine Remediation Project, Faro Mine Remediation Project, Natural Resources Canada, Syncrude, and Environment and Climate Change Canada.

Outside of work Mike is an avid Toronto sports fan, and recreational sports enthusiast. He enjoys spending time outside camping and hiking and has enjoyed dabbling in the world of home brewing over the last few years.
